Description:
A very attractive Prattware jug featuring 'Shakespear the Poet' brightly coloured in relief mould below the spout, flanked by caricatures of 'The Miser' and 'The Spendthrift'. Very well potted with fine feathering and stippled surfaces between the raised panels of the subjects, beautifully tactile and very well decorated.
Circa 1790
Approx - 7.5 inches (190mm) tall.
In very good condition throughout.
